Dori and Joe's Wedding (Manhattan, NY)
Dori and Joe had an intimate, family-only wedding in Manhattan in July. The couple were married at The Church of St. Paul the Apostle near Lincoln Center. Due to Covid regulations, the priest wore a face shield and guests wore masks while they sat in the first row of pews. Despite all of the Covid precautions and adjustments to their original plans, the wedding was absolutely beautiful and Dori and Joe truly made the most of their situation.

After the church ceremony, we walked through Central Park where we took some couple and family portraits and ended at Rosa Mexicano for a celebratory lunch, speeches, cake cutting, and a first dance on the sidewalk. Congratulations, Dori and Joe!
Katie and Matt's Engagement Session (Smithtown, NY)
I met up with newly engaged Katie & Matt at Blydenburgh Park near Katie’s hometown on Long Island. This was my first official photo shoot after the pandemic began and it felt great to be out with my camera.
I met up with newly engaged Katie & Matt at Blydenburgh Park near Katie’s hometown on Long Island. This was my first official photo shoot after the pandemic began and it felt great to be out with my camera. Katie and Matt were so much fun and Katie’s sister Kelly joined our shoot and was an excellent assistant, helping me get natural smiles and laughs from the couple. One notable moment from our day was when I was photographing Katie and Matt out on a dock and a beautiful swan swam up alongside it. Katie bent down to say hello and it got very defensive and honked loudly in her face scaring us all half to death (see photos below). Luckily, we managed to avoid getting physically attacked by any wildlife so it was a success overall. Congratulations, Katie & Matt!
The swan interaction caught on camera.
Paige and Eric's Wedding (Grafton, VT)
Paige & Eric chose Grafton Inn in Grafton, VT for their cozy winter wedding. They got married on leap day of 2020 so this wedding was one of the last "normal" events any of us attended for quite a long time.
Paige & Eric chose The Grafton Inn in Grafton, Vermont for their cozy winter wedding. They got married on leap day of 2020 so this wedding was one of the last "normal" events any of us attended for quite a long time.
One of my favorite aspects of this wedding was all of the family history they incorporated into the day. Paige was the 4th bride in her family to wear her wedding gown. Before her, it was worn by her mother, her grandmother and her great grandmother (and never altered). Due to its age and the lace sleeves, the dress was extremely delicate and took the help of Paige’s mother, grandmother and twin sister to safely get her into it.
It also created a need for special accommodations while navigating the dirt driveway during Vermont mud season.
Paige and Eric’s day was such a special one and made for a great “last hurrah” before all of the weirdness of 2020 began. Congratulations, you two!

Amanda and Seth's Mini Maternity Session (Jensen Beach, FL)
Every February I go down to Port St. Lucie, Florida for New York Mets photo day and spring training. Seth is down there too, training with the Mets and his wife Amanda is also often in the area. They reached out to me asking if I would take a few maternity photos at a nearby beach spot that they loved while we were all in town.

They reached out to me asking if I would take a few maternity photos at a nearby beach spot that they loved while we were all in town. We had a great time walking up and down the white sand beach with our toes in the sand (even despite Seth’s broken pinky toe). They had me laughing the whole time and were absolute naturals in front of the camera. Congratulations, Seth and Amanda! Can’t wait to meet your little one!
Dori and Joe's Engagement Session (West Village, NY)
We started their engagement session where their relationship started, Solas, a bar in the West Village. I always recommend incorporating special locations like these into engagement sessions as it brings an added layer of depth and meaning to the images.
Dori & Joe’s engagement session began where their relationship started, Solas, a bar in the West Village. I always recommend incorporating special locations like these into engagement sessions as it brings an added layer of depth and meaning to the images. From Solas, we ventured through some of the beautiful cobblestone streets in the West Village including Washington Mews, one of my favorite locations to take photos in NYC. Some history on the street via good ol’ Wikipedia: “it was originally part of a Lenape trail which connected the Hudson and East Rivers, and was first developed as a mews (row of stables) that serviced horses from homes in the area. Since the 1950s the former stables have served as housing, offices and other facilities for New York University.” Interesting stuff! As the sun was setting we made our way towards the Hudson River for some gorgeous golden hour photos. Congratulations, Dori & Joe!
Alex and Kelsey's Wedding (Prince William Forest State Park, VA)
I traveled down to Virginia just outside of D.C. for Kelsey and Alex’s dreamy boho wedding at Prince William Forest State Park. Kelsey and Alex found me through their close friends Eryn and Donnie (see previous blog post for their Alabama wedding) and asked me to travel down for their celebrations in late October.

Kelsey and Alex found me through their close friends Eryn and Donnie (see previous blog post for their Alabama wedding) and asked me to travel down for their celebrations in late October. I packed up my sleeping bag, warm clothes, and bug spray and hopped on a flight. Kelsey and Alex were super laid back and fun, and although they offered to pay for a hotel room I opted to really ingrain myself in the experience and camped out in one of the cabins on site. It was such a fun experience and such a beautiful evening full of love and some of the most impressive dance moves I’ve yet to see (scroll down to see Kelsey and Alex breaking it down to Beyoncé). Congratulations, Kelsey and Alex!
