Micelys and Andy's Wedding (Long Island City, NY)

It’s an industrial warehouse from the early 1900s (once an electrical parts factory), and now is used to house beautiful antique furniture (you can read more about it here). It is a wedding photographers dream come true with velvet couches, high ceilings, antique chandeliers, and unique furniture and decor everywhere you turn. I could be happy photographing every wedding there.
Truly though, Andy and Micelys could have had their wedding in a prison or a cave and it still would have been a great time. I have had the pleasure of working alongside Andy for a few years and he is genuinely the best coworker and all around best human being - one of the kindest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. I met Micelys for the first time when planning for their wedding and she is just as sweet. They are absolutely made for each other. Congratulations, Andy and Micelys!

Steve and Sabrina's Wedding (Queens, NY)
Steve and Sabrina combined their family traditions and cultures into one weekend full of celebration.
Steve and Sabrina combined their family traditions and cultures into one weekend full of celebration. The ceremony was a traditional Hindu marriage ceremony which was held on Friday at the first venue, Golden Terrace in Richmond Hill, Queens. Sabrina and Steve looked amazing in their traditional clothing and the rituals and celebration were beautiful and a completely new experience for me (they were very helpful with giving me documents and instruction ahead of time so that I knew what to expect). On Saturday, I joined the couple and their family and friends again for a reception at the Queens Museum. Here, Sabrina and Steve did a first look along with dances, speeches and other “traditional” American wedding reception things. Congratulations, Sabrina and Steve!

Jay and Tori's Wedding (Catskill, NY)
Jay and Tori chose Historic Catskill Point on the Hudson River in Catskill, NY for their May wedding ceremony and the 115 year old Historic Warehouse housed their reception.

The ceremony was filled with love and emotion and Jay, Tori, and their guests had a TON of fun on the dance floor afterward. Such a fun night! Congratulations, Tori and Jay!
Steve and Sabrina's Engagement Session (Astoria, NY)
Astoria, Queens is one of my favorite spots in NYC. It’s where many of the best people I know in NYC live and it’s always a great area to wander and take photos when in Queens. Astoria Park is especially photogenic with its beautiful water views, street art, and giant arches. When Steve and Sabrina said they wanted to meet there for their engagement photos in October, I was thrilled.

Eryn and Donnie's Wedding (Huntsville, Alabama)
My very first destination wedding took place in Huntsville, Alabama with one of my favorite couples, Eryn and Donnie. The wedding venue was Lowe Mill ARTS and Entertainment and the industrial, artsy space was beautifully decorated and designed by Eryn.
After photographing their engagement session in NYC, I knew Eryn and Donnie’s wedding would be a fun one. These two are some of the most fun, laid back, kind people I’ve ever met and they made me feel like a guest at their wedding. The wedding was at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment in Huntsville, Alabama which made it even more of a uniquely fun adventure for me. It was my first time in Alabama!
The wedding was unique to the couple with lots of personal touches and tributes to loved ones who had passed, and it was beautifully decorated with a boho vibe by Eryn and her mom. There were wheels of cheese instead of a cake (honestly, I might steal this idea for my own wedding. What’s better than cheese?) and a whole bunch of homemade pies for dessert (baked by Eryn’s sister if I remember correctly). Such a fun night with great people. Congratulations, Eryn & Donnie!

Eryn and Donnie's Engagement Session (West Village, NYC)
Eryn and Donnie are some of the most fun, effortlessly cool people I’ve ever met. What better place to photograph their engagement session than in the West Village?
Eryn and Donnie are some of the most fun, effortlessly cool people I’ve ever met. What better place to photograph their engagement session than in the West Village? It also happens to be their favorite spot in the city. We spent the afternoon wandering through the neighborhood stopping at some of their favorite bars and coffee shops. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding down in Huntsville, Alabama later this year!
