Boston Lifestyle School Photography
Lifestyle school photos are a fun, modernized approach to school portraits.
What makes picture day with Kayla different?
What memories do you have of picture day as a child? Are they fun, happy memories? More likely, you dreaded the experience of stiff, unnatural poses, bright lights, and a rushed, apathetic photographer. Your family likely ended up being shown one photo as your one option with the only alternative being the re-take. The photo you ended up with probably had a less-than-genuine smile and stiff, unnatural posture (possibly with a cool laser backdrop, let’s give them that). Your family probably hung the photo on the wall/fridge/mantel because they love you and there wasn’t a better option. I’m offering a better option.
I want your child’s school photos to be beautiful, frame-worthy, fine-art quality portraits with natural smiles and vibrant personality. I spend the time I have with your child dancing, laughing, playing, and moving to best capture their unique character. I give each child the time and attention they deserve so they can let their true spirit shine. I very rarely do any posing besides “let’s see how high you can jump!” or “can you spin around and make your dress twirl?”. There are no unnatural poses, no bright lights in their face, and certainly no apathy on my end. I let my results speak for themselves.

What happens on picture day?
My lifestyle school photo experience is designed for maximum fun and minimum stress for the students and staff. Photos are taken outside the school, on the playground, or in another outdoor location within walking distance.
A few weeks after picture day families are presented with galleries with 5-10 images presented in both color and black and white. Purchasing is done directly from the student’s gallery. Digital orders are available for download within a few days, and physical products are available at the school for pickup at the end of the ordering period.
My entire operation - from picture day through delivery - is contactless, paperless, and designed with ease in mind.
How much does this cost?
My pricing is competitive and affordable. There is absolutely no cost to the school, and parents pay nothing up-front. Everything is ordered online after you have seen your child's images. I offer digital images, and work with a top of the line lab to offer print packages, a la cart prints, and gallery wrap canvases for sale.
How does this benefit the school?
I believe in giving back to my community and supporting local schools. Each school that I work with will get the following benefits:
CLASS PHOTOS - Complimentary class photos for the school and every family. Each family will receive digital images of their child’s class. Families that order prints will also receive a complimentary 5x7 print of their child’s class photo. (Value: $19 per print, $44 per digital image)
STAFF HEADSHOTS - 1 high-resolution digital file per staff member (Value: $44 per digital image)
FUNDRAISING - 15% of profits will be donated back to the school, PTA, or a charity of their choice.
What types of schools do you work with?
I work with preschools, early learning centers, and primary schools as small as 30 students and can accommodate schools as large as 150 students throughout Boston, Massachusetts and the surrounding 25 mile radius. Contact me to learn more!
