Lindy and Willie's Maternity Session (feat. Summer the Puppy)

Lindy and Willie have a lot going on in their lives right now! They welcomed a new puppy named Summer into their family and are about to welcome a baby in May. For their maternity session, we started on their front steps and took Summer for a walk through the neighborhood and into Rye Town Park.

Lindy and Willie have a lot going on in their lives right now! They welcomed a new puppy named Summer into their family and are about to welcome a baby in May. For their maternity session, we started on their front steps and took Summer for a walk through the neighborhood and into Rye Town Park. She caused some mayhem (Lindy’s earrings were a VERY tempting toy) and wasn’t always the most focused model, but she was a wholesome, adorable, addition to this maternity session. My favorite part of the session was when we were down on the dog section of the beach. All the dogs wanted to be Summer’s best friend, and when Summer wasn’t saying hello to them, she was trying to see how big a hole she could dig in the sand. We did get some great non-blooper-reel photos in the fleeting moments of calm and focus and it was 100% worth it to have her there. I highly recommend incorporating your fur babies in photo sessions if you don’t mind things potentially going a bit haywire. Overall, such a fun day and I can’t wait to meet baby soon!

Lela and Paul's Newborn Session (Otis)

After photographing their engagement session and maternity photos, Lela and Paul asked me to do an in-home newborn session once Lela gave birth back in January. This was my first ever newborn session and I fell in love with it immediately.

This was my first ever newborn session and I fell in love with it immediately. So many squishy details and adorable, cozy, photo ops. I wanted to incorporate mom & dad in some photos too as well as their home and space - we opened up the curtains and let lots of natural light in which made for the beautiful silhouetted family portrait you’ll see at the end. Welcome to the world, Otis!

Lindy and Willie's Christmas Card Session (Rye, NY)

Lindy and Willie needed some photos for their annual holiday card, plus a few for a special announcement they were planning to make soon. I met them at their home in Rye, NY and we started with some photos on the front stoop, then walked through their neighborhood to Rye Town Park where we finished the session by the waterfront.

Lindy and Willie were so much fun and complete naturals in front of the camera. Can’t wait to take some maternity photos with these two soon!

Lela and Paul's Maternity Session (Astoria, NY)

Lela & Paul had me photograph their engagement photos back in 2016, and so I was thrilled when they reached out again this year to ask if I would do a maternity session with them.

Lela & Paul had me photograph their engagement photos back in 2016, and so I was thrilled when they reached out again this year to ask if I would do a maternity session with them. They picked a beautiful, warm afternoon in late October and chose Astoria Park for the location since it’s close to their apartment and always lends itself to some great photos. Congratulations, Lela & Paul!

Nancy and MJ's Christmas Card Photos (Queens, NY)

I met Nancy & MJ through the Mets. They are an amazing couple and some of the team’s most die-hard fans. Back in 2015, they spotted me working on the field and pointed out to me that I was the first female team photographer they’d ever seen which they thought was very cool. We’ve been friends ever since and I was thrilled to take some photos for their annual holiday card.

We’ve been friends ever since and I was thrilled to take some photos for their annual holiday card. The first location of course had to be Citi Field. We wandered around the home run apple and found their brick in the Fanwalk. After, we headed over to Astoria Park for a few “less Metsy” photos. These women are truly some of the best people and I had such a great time capturing their their fun personalities and their love.

Lily and Rafet's Wedding (Mt. Tremper, NY)

Lily and Rafet’s wedding was one that was booked in early March of 2020 and ended up being altered a handful of times in order for it to happen when they wanted it to. Luckily for them, the plan all along had been to have the wedding in the backyard of Lily’s childhood home in Mt. Tremper, NY.

This allowed the venue to remain the same while the guest list had to be cut down to just 50 people. Lily got ready with her bridesmaids and mother at the house while Rafet and his groomsmen got dressed at nearby Hotel Kinsley. Lily’s mother’s home and backyard were absolutely gorgeous with lush green fields and a gorgeous black walnut tree that the ceremony took place beneath. The home’s artsy vibe and family home details like childhood photos on the fridge added so much to the images.

The family dog made sure he was a part of the big day by wildly running through the aisle during the ceremony (chased down by Lily’s brother) and attempting to steal some charcuterie goodness from the table during cocktail hour. The reception included wood fired pizzas made to order, emotional speeches, and some wild and crazy dancing under the tent. Congratulations, Lily and Rafet!
